Friends are welcome. Bring someone along. The more the merrier.
We're looking forward to seeing you!
Gary is a dear friend and someone who has spent decades helping people move concern into meaningful action. Gary founded the Indivisible group, Progressive Action East Bay in 2016. He’s been a policy advisor to Governor Gavin Newsom, Senator Nancy Feinstein, and many legislators.
We canvassed together in Tucson during the last election. The morning after the results came in, while many people were still processing, Gary was already on the phone with activists around the country asking:
"What do we do now?"
That spirit is woven throughout this book.
Your Host: Michael Tertes
I’ll be hosting and holding the container for these evenings. My role is not to be the expert in the room, but to create a space where people feel welcome, grounded, and able to show up as themselves.
I’m a coach, facilitator, and community-builder with decades of experience working with leaders, teams, and groups. Much of my work focuses on presence, belonging, and helping people recognize and share their unique gifts.
Strawberry Creek Community Evenings are an extension of a long-standing belief and practice of mine: that real learning and meaningful connection happen when people feel safe enough to be human together.
