You may know what you do well without fully understanding why people trust you, what they experience in your presence, what you perceive that others don't, or the contribution you make simply by being who you are.

Leadership Essence™ is a way of discovering that part of yourself.

Rather than beginning with what you need to improve, Leadership Essence begins with curiosity about what is already there. Together, we look across your life and the experiences of people who know you well to discover the recurring patterns that reveal what is uniquely and wonderfully true about you as a leader.

The goal isn't to give you another label or tell you what type of leader you are. It's to help you see something that has been expressing itself throughout your life, including the parts that may have been hardest for you to recognize on your own.

The Leadership Essence™ Intensive

The Leadership Essence Intensive is a deeply personalized discovery process. Before we begin, you'll invite people from different parts of your life to reflect on their experiences of you through a series of conversations I call the Appreciative 360™. Unlike a traditional 360 review, we're not evaluating your performance or identifying strengths and weaknesses. We're listening for recurring patterns in the impact you've had across different relationships and different parts of your life.

We bring those perspectives together with your own preparation, stories, experiences, and our work together. Then we follow the inquiry wherever it leads, looking for the patterns that have been hiding in plain sight and gradually putting language to what we discover.

It gives you language for something that's extraordinarily difficult to see on your own, helping you understand not only what you bring to your leadership, but why it matters and what becomes possible when you begin bringing more of it consciously.

The Leadership Essence™ Coaching Journey

Discovering your Leadership Essence is only the beginning. Knowing something about yourself and fully embracing and embodying it are very different things. The work continues through four interconnected stages: Discover, Embrace, Experiment, and Master.

Stage 1: Discover

Theme: Curiosity

This first stage is about seeing yourself clearly, perhaps for the first time. Through interviews, reflections, feedback, and real-world data, we hold up mirrors that reveal what's been hidden in plain sight. You'll explore stories and patterns and uncover the gifts, impact, and essence that often go unspoken.

Common responses in this stage: "Wow, that's really me?" "I didn't know I could know myself this way." "That's amazing and honestly, a bit scary."

Stage 2: Embrace

Theme: Integration

Here's where it gets real. Some discoveries will feel like coming home. Others will spark doubt or resistance.

This is where the inner critic shows up: "That's not me." "That's too big." "That's not allowed."

This stage is about welcoming the truth of who you are, even when it's unfamiliar, inconvenient, or powerful. It's vulnerable, transformative work and necessary to become fully aligned.

Stage 3: Experiment

Theme: Conscious Expression

You begin to live what you've discovered. You experiment with making the unconscious conscious, intentionally showing up as the person you're learning you are. You try new behaviors, test new boundaries, and learn, through real trial, not just insight, how to wield what's always been yours: when to lean into it, when to soften it, what changes in different rooms and with different people.

Together, we design and debrief real-world experiments that stretch you and ground you, building presence, confidence, and impact.

Stage 4: Master

Theme: Commitment

In this final stage, you commit to the life and leadership that your essence calls for. You align your choices with your truth. You change habits, make bold moves, shift roles, or deepen roots, all in service of a more authentic, powerful way of being. These commitments are natural extensions of what you've discovered and embraced. They become the "obvious next thing" because they are led from the inside out.

Living the Journey

Of course, this isn't a linear process. You'll find yourself in multiple stages at once with different discoveries, some parts of you in expression while others are still just being revealed. That's the beauty of it.

It's enlivening. Clarifying. Edge-pushing. And it's deeply affirming.

You start seeing yourself in new ways, ways that open doors, shift relationships, and invite more satisfying and impactful ways of living and leading.
