The Essence Experience: The Power of Perspective

A free, 90-minute experiential workshop with Michael Tertes

You know what it's like to be you. But you don't know what it's like to be with you.

Every person you've ever met knows something about you that you don't. Not because they know you better, but because they know what it's like to be with you.

Think about that for a moment.

We know ourselves from the inside, through our intentions, efforts, hopes, fears, and the stories we tell ourselves. But we can't directly experience what it's like to be with us. Other people can.

And the same is true in reverse. We experience things about other people that they may never recognize about themselves.

What if we could begin to share some of that extraordinary information with one another?

That's what The Essence Experience is about.

An experience unlike most workshops

This isn't a lecture, personality assessment, or another exercise in trying to improve yourself.

Through a series of engaging, carefully designed interactions, you'll have the opportunity to experience yourself through the perspectives of others, while discovering what you notice, appreciate, and experience in the people around you.

You may discover qualities you've expressed for years without recognizing their significance. You may be surprised by what others notice about you. And you may find yourself seeing people you've just met, or people you've known for years, in an entirely new way.

The experience invites a different way of seeing: more curious, more appreciative, and more alive to what's uniquely present in ourselves and one another.

I'm offering this workshop at my Berkeley office as a complimentary community event. It's an opportunity to connect, explore, discover, and experience something that can be difficult to describe but remarkable to participate in.

You don't need to prepare anything, know anyone, or have any previous experience with personal development workshops. Just bring yourself and a willingness to be curious.
